Oil mist collectors for CNC lathes
Turning operations can release fine droplets of neat oil or water-miscible coolant inside the machine enclosure. A lathe oil mist collector creates extraction airflow at the enclosure and captures the contaminated air before it escapes through doors, gaps or loading openings.
Selection should consider the enclosure volume, spindle speed, machining cycle, coolant, observed mist level and how often the door opens. A compact lathe does not automatically require the smallest collector, and two machines from the same manufacturer can produce different mist loads.
